4 Travel Tools
Dear Reader,
As an aspiring global traveler, I believe it is my duty to you to share 4 tools that have helped me in my travels so far. I hope you enjoy this short article and use these tools.
1: Duolingo
One of my favorite travel resources is Duolingo. With Duolingo I’ve been able to learn multiple different languages at the same time, and all of the language lessons through their app are delivered in unique and fun games and listening exercises. Even outside of the Duolingo app I’ve taken courses, but what’s nice about Duolingo is that they track your progress and offer options for review that you can use to strengthen your vocabulary.
2: Booking.com
Booking.com makes reserving hotels extremely easy. Depending on where you want to travel, they give dozens of options for hotels. The best part about Booking.com is that if you’re on a travel budget, they have deals for some hotels depending on the days of your stay. Booking.com listings include detailed reviews so you can read about the positives and negatives of a property upfront when deciding where you want to stay.
3: Uber
Uber is a great resource if you don’t have time to use the public transport and need a more direct and faster journey to your destination. My favorite aspect of Uber is getting to meet the local drivers and receiving advice from them about parts of their city and attractions located in their city. It is really helpful to have that local insight because while I enjoy visiting important monuments, it’s always nice to visit locals-only spots within the city, places that aren’t completely tourist-filled. I mentioned above that Duolingo is great for language acquisition, but Uber drivers have shared quick phrases with me that have been helpful when making small talk with locals of the country that I am visiting.
4: General Public Transportation
Public transportation is one of my favorite travel tools because it allows quick access around the city and one of the benefits of public transport is the pricing of it. In London, for example, the buses usually charge a little more than 1 GBP per journey, however, this could change depending on the distance of your journey. Underground train lines in London are pretty consistent and fast as well, sometimes the trains have to skip stations that are under maintenance, but other than that, the transport system is extremely reliable.
Thank you for reading this article about 4 travels tools that I frequently use. I hope this article was helpful. Have a great day! :)
Best wishes,
Bryce
***As a disclaimer, I am NOT being paid to mention these resources (This is a new blog website, and I don’t have any sponsors). I really appreciate all that they have done to help me over the past year in my travels :)***
